This time, we’re analyzing the Katznelson 55–61 urban renewal complex in Bat Yam.
A detailed urban renewal plan spans 13 dunams in the heart of the Ramat Yosef neighborhood in Bat Yam, located on Katznelson Street near Yoseftal Street, a major city artery.
The plan proposes the demolition of 5 buildings comprising 208 residential units and the construction of 3 residential towers and one mid-rise building. These will include a total of 690 residential units, commercial and office spaces, and a public passageway running east-west between Katznelson Street and a rear public open space.
The plan designates approximately 2 dunams for public buildings and institutions, adjacent to the approved school site, and includes a connecting route between Nili Alley and Moshe Sneh Street.
This plan continues the urban planning trend set by Plan BY/496, which promotes urban renewal in the southeastern part of the Ramat Yosef neighborhood.
